EFT
What is EFT?
EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Technique or more commonly known as tapping.
Tapping was originally discovered by a psychologist called Dr Roger Callahan in the 1980s and then was made simpler to practice by Gary Craig in the 1990s.
It is a simple yet powerful holistic practise that combines tapping with your fingertips on acupressure/meridian points on your body and modern psychology.
EFT has been scientifically proven to reduce stress, improve sleep, reduce anxiety, ease pain, increase productivity, release phobias and so much more.
When tapping on the meridian points, while you are thinking about the pain or sensation in your body, or a distressing thought or feeling, and it sends calming signals to your brain letting it know it is safe to relax and that you are not in any physical danger.
Stress can be experienced in our bodies in numerous ways – emotionally, physically, mentally – due to the dysregulation of our nervous system. Tapping works by creating that mind-body connection and by stimulating these acupressure points it helps to enable you to regulate your nervous system again.
