My name is Lisa Stevenson and I am a wife to Paul, mum of 2 boys (9 & 7 year-old), Holistic Therapist, Meditation Teacher, Author and previously I was a nurse for nearly 20 years.

During the first lockdown while I was home schooling my boys, I, like so many other parents I talked to, were noticing our children’s behaviour was changing and they were finding it difficult to understand why everything that was normal for them to do prior to lockdown, like visiting family, going to school, going to the park to play, and having birthday parties, was no longer allowed to happen.

To try and help my children through this difficult time I made different worksheets and gave them different tasks to do daily and found that they really enjoyed completing and they wanted to do more of them.

The biggest difference I noticed was their mood and behaviour started to improve again which led me to the decision that I would produce a Mindfulness Journal for children aimed between the ages of 7-12, to help learn about feelings, mindfulness, gratitude, affirmations, meditation and so much more in a fun and interactive way that they will enjoy completing over a period of 60 days.

In October 2020, My Happy Mind Activity Journal was published and has been a phenomenal success and to date it has been purchased in America, Australia, Ireland, and all over the UK. From January 2021 it is also now available to download on Kindle.
